Can I have Dr. Gold appraise my jewelry?

You may! We charge $75 for an appraisal, and $50 for each additional appraisal (on a per transaction basis).

Buying from Dr. Gold Jewelry and Diamonds

All pieces purchased from Dr. Gold Jewelry and Diamonds come with a free appraisal for insurance purposes, a lifetime warranty (excluding watches), free service and cleaning, and free, same-day sizing for rings (conditions may apply).

Engagement Ring Warranty

Engagement ring purchases have a lifetime warranty. We will replace, free of charge, any SIDE stone if it chips, breaks, or is lost from its original setting during normal wear. This warranty does NOT grant the same for center stones. Center stones are NOT covered under warranty. In order for your Diamond and/or Gemstone ring to remain in effect of warranty, you must have your ring inspected every 6 months by an authorized representative of Dr. Gold Jewelry and Diamonds. If not serviced within the 6 months period, all warranty of the engagement ring will be void. In order to retain the warranty, the piece must be serviced by Dr. Gold Jewelry and Diamonds staff; any repairs or services provided by alternative jewelers will null the warranty as we cannot vouch for the craftsmanship of alternative jewelers.

Selling to Dr. Gold Jewelry and Diamonds

Dr. Gold Jewelry and Diamonds does buy gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, colored gemstones, and designer jewelry and accessories (e.g., Tiffany & Co.). We also purchase rare coins. To receive a quote, please bring your items in person to Dr. Gold Jewelry and Diamonds (quotes are not provided by telephone). We do not charge for quotes to purchase your pieces.

Service and Cleaning

We will clean jewelry purchased from Dr. Gold Jewelry and Diamonds (ultrasonic and steam) and check the settings free of charge. We recommend this be done every 6 months. Not responsible for the loss of stones due to worn prongs and settings when cleaning.

Watch Repair Guarantee

All watch overhauls are guaranteed for 12 months. There is no guarantee for moisture, bands, crystals or minor repairs. Replacement of watch battery does not guarantee function or water resistance. Watch battery life is guaranteed for 12 months from the invoice date.

Colored Gemstone Enhancement Disclosure 

Purchasers of colored gemstones should be aware that natural gemstones are processed from the time they are extracted from the earth by one or more traditionally accepted trade practices. All colored gemstones listed in your sales slip have probably been subject to stable and possible undetectable enhancement processes. All relevant information will be provided to the best of our knowledge. Prevailing market values are based on these universally practiced and accepted processes by the gem and jewelry trade.

Layaway Policy

A 30% deposit is required when placing an item on layaway. Please contact our store directly to inquire about placing an item on layaway rather than purchasing through our website.

Layaway payments are required at least every 30 days. Articles placed on layaway will be held for a period of 90 days from the date of initial deposit. If no satisfactory arrangements have been made for full payment beyond the end of this period, the item(s) will be returned to stock, and all payments will be forfeited. At our discretion only, layaways may be cancelled in the event of special circumstances. In such cases, a restocking fee of 15% of the original invoice will be charged, with the remaining balance to be issued as a store credit only.

Special Orders and Custom Work

All special orders require a 50% deposit and are non-cancellable. Special orders are not refundable or exchangeable. A special order includes any jewelry, gemstone, or watch that has been ordered to accommodate the client's request for an alternative style, size, metal or color that is not available in stock. Custom designed jewelry involves metals, gems, and labor furnished for a specific client. Custom jewelry is non-refundable and requires a 50% non-refundable deposit before the work begins. Every effort will be made to accurately manufacture or produce the item(s) so ordered. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will denote the client's complete satisfaction.
